Hello my name is David Coleman and I am a counselor and instructor with the MPS program.  I completed both my B.A. in Liberal Arts and my M.A. in Educational counseling at U.C. Santa Barbara.  Previously I also worked at U.C. Santa Barbara as an Outreach Admissions counselor as well as a Teaching & Graduate Assistant in the Black Studies Department.  I also worked as a Lecturer and Director of the Minority Engineering Program in the School of Engineering and Technology at CSU Los Angeles prior to joining De Anza College.  However, I am most proud to be the Dad of three young men who are also navigating their ways through the college experience.  I am located in the Physical Sciences Mathematics and Engineering Division S41A adjacent to MPS Tutoring center.  Please stop by and say hello.

Students who aren't in the MPS program can visit the general Counseling and Advising Center or a counselor within their division or program.
