College Major and Career Options
Course Description
This course helps students to identify compatible college majors and career options by completing a variety of self-assessment inventories. Students will examine how individual, family, social, and cultural perspectives influence the college major and career decision-making process. The course will review college major and career myths, the purpose and structure of higher education, and organizational structures found in employment settings.

CLP 5.1GF: Class is open to all students. This is a dual enrollment class offered through the CCAP agreement between Fremont Union High School District and De Anza College. This is a 5-week hybrid class from 8/21/23-9/19/23, off-campus at Homestead High School (21370 Homestead Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014). Class has scheduled meetings as noted in the class listing. The rest of the class can be completed independently each week on the student's own time. Students must have access to a computer, the internet, and an individual email address. De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests.
